Falcons going to Madrid:

The Birds don’t play the Falcons in 2026, so this eliminates the possibility of going to Madrid. It’s disappointing because the thought of Green Legion, Phans of Philly, and Philly Sports Trips descending on the Santiago Bernabeu would have been a sight to behold.

Finally, some real fans in that stadium! (this is Real Madrid shade)

They say that South Philly and Madrid are very similar spiritually and culturally and this would have been the ideal time to find out whether or not that’s true. Alas, we will wait for the next opportunity.

There are three remaining foreign travel possibilities for the Birds:

  • London: vs. Commanders or Jag-wires
  • Rio: vs. Cowgirls
  • Mexico City: vs. 49ers

Two of these are divisional games, and those are rarely played overseas. The Dolphins and Jets did play in London back in 2015, and the Panthers and Bucs in 2019, also in London, but it’s not common. There was Chiefs and Chargers in Brazil last season and(EDIT – actually I’m kind of an idiot, the Rams are playing the Niners in Australia this year). Either way, it would be diabolical to play Cowboys/Eagles outside of the country.

If they do go back to London, it would be against the Jags, or they go down to La Ciudad de Mexico to play the 49ers. What a shit show that would be. 49ers fans are some of the most disgraceful on the planet. They’re liable to get into fights with each other, maybe go into the local burger joint and start shanking other fans. How can you send them anywhere at all? If the Birds do play the 49ers in Mexico City, they’ll need a security detail like nobody has ever seen before. They’ll need a full regiment of Big Doms to create a barricade inside the stadium and around the hotel.

You can’t trust 49ers fans.
