Nick Sirianni spoke Wednesday about the possibility of bringing back Chauncey Gardner-Johnson, who was released by the Texans on Tuesday:

“I’m really excited about the (safety) room that we have. I think they’ve done a really nice job, good young player in Andrew Mukuba, who continues to get better. And I think that having Reed Blankenship next to him is helping him get better. And (having) Marcus Epps in the building. I’ve said that in here before about Epps. Really excited about that room. Sydney (Brown) is doing a good job, a good job on special teams and doing some work on defense as well. I’m really excited about that group and pleased with that group.”

Sounds like a no, but even if he was interested, he probably wouldn’t tell us. Plus, all anybody has to recall is that Howie Roseman has traded CJGJ twice, so you do a bit of reading between the lines there and come to some obvious conclusions.

For those who are curious, CJGJ can indeed return to the Eagles. That’s according to Schefty, who said it on 97.5 the Fanatic Wednesday morning. He didn’t elaborate on the how or why, such as the vested veteran status and four-game minimum rule for reacquisition, but here’s the hit if you wanna listen to it. I also recommend PA casino bonuses if you’re looking for something to do.
