Outrageous: JuJu Smith-Schuster Fined $5,000 for Sock Violation

Did you know that the NFL has sock rules? You have to pull them all the way up to your knees, or else it’s no bueno. I didn’t know that, but you learn something new every day.
JuJu Smith-Schuster is a recent violator, and as such he was disciplined by the league to the tune of $5k. He shared the letter from the league on Instagram:
“Specifically, your stockings failed to cover your lower leg,” is one of the parts circled in red. The print is small so it’s hard to see what the rest says.
But for real though – Five grand? Five grand because his socks we’re worn high enough? That’s chump change for these guys but still seems crazy.
It’s outrageous!
James Conner also was fined, according to Smith-Schuster.
