Oh good:

If the speculation was already unbearable, it’s gonna be insufferable now. Already there are tweets on the timeline – “Patriots making room for A.J. Brown!” Fuck off.

If anything, don’t they lose leverage by releasing Diggs before trading for another receiver, assuming that’s the plan? It has to be, unless they’ve got some slam dunk draft pick or free agent lined up. After Diggs, Kayshon Boutte was their next-best receiver with 551 yards and six touchdowns. So they need a WR1 in some form, be it Alec Pierce, Mike Evans, A.J. Brown, or one of the 1st round rookie receivers turning into a stud.

Diggs had the off-field incident in December, the alleged assault with the private chef. The Pats could be moving on simply for that reason, but the point is that people are gonna ratchet up the A.J. Brown stuff regardless. It’s the worst. We need the Sixers and the Flyers to deliver us from the banality of offseason Eagles rumormongering. The local hockey and basketball teams must be our salvation.
