Quarantined Doug Pederson is Confident That NFL Season Will Take Place

Doug Pederson has the Coronavirus.
He’s asymptomatic and quarantined at home, where he’s presumably concocting the next Philly Special, which he’ll unleash this season in a display of massive cajones.
In opening remarks, Doug P said he appreciated everybody’s well wishes and explained that he “feels great, energy levels high, and really no symptoms whatsoever” –
“I’m very fortunate, because I do know and understand that this virus attacks people differently. I’ve been in great communication, constant communication, not only with our medical team and doctors, but also my staff and the team itself. I think one of the things I learned this offseason is I can still run the team virtually. That’s what I’ve been able to today, even yesterday, staff meetings and team meetings. I also want to reiterate the fact that I’m comfortable and confident that the protocols we have in place at Novacare are in the best interest of the football team and all those who enter that building. It still is a safe environment.”
Pederson obviously wouldn’t say where he thinks he contracted the virus. He’s quarantining away from his family at the moment.
He noted that Duce Staley, who is taking on a bigger role right now, assumes responsibility for day-to-day activities inside the building. The pair communicate each morning, and then Duce heads to Novacare to run the show.
Doug also said this:
“My confidence hasn’t changed at all. I’m extremely, obvious optimistic, but I feel like we’re gonna play and I’m confident we’re gonna play.”
