Eagles Officially Sign Ryan Mathews to a Three-Year Deal

Though it had been reported for a while — and then things got awkward when DeMarco Murray showed up — the Eagles have officially inked Ryan Mathews to a three-year, $12 million deal. The oft-injured former Chargers running back will likely back up Murray and take some of the load off of his touches so he doesn’t lead the league in that category again. There’s no word on where this leaves Darren Sproles and Chris Polk, but the Eagles might actually lead the league in time of possession next year. #RUNNING
