Report: Eagles Sign Tim Jernigan to a Four-Year Contract Extension

Sounds good to me.

Adam Schefter dropped some welcomed news on Thursday afternoon, reporting that the Birds have signed defensive tackle Tim Jernigan to a four year extension worth $48 million:

Looks like Jernigan and his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, confirmed the good news at the local Kinkos store.

The 25-year-old Florida native joined the Eagles via trade in April, sent north by the Baltimore Ravens for a higher third-round draft pick. Jernigan has been a formidable complement to Fletcher Cox on the Birds’ defensive unit, which is ranked #1 against the run this season and allowing just 66.4 yards on the ground per game.

Jernigan was brought in to replace Bennie Logan, who left for Kansas City in free agency. The Eagles haven’t skipped a beat on the defensive line and fans will now get to see four more years of this:
