Little Friday news dump. The Eagles are shopping Dallas Goedert and Bryce Huff:
Sources: The #Eagles have been open to trade talks involving TE Dallas Goedert and DE Bryce Huff.
Goedert is in the final year of his deal, while Huff — one of last year’s big free-agent signings — has seen limited playing time due to Philly’s deep rotation. pic.twitter.com/HfxyyWweL3

This was also reported by Jeff McLane at the Inky earlier this week.
This would be a tough split. Goedert rules. That play where he stiff armed the Packers DB three times in the Wild Card Round still plays fresh in my mind:

But you might have to separate emotion in this situation for the good of the team. You can’t deny he’s struggled to stay on the field. He’s missed 15 games over the last three seasons to be exact. The best ability is availability. He’s also in the last year of his deal and he’s making an affordable $12 million that I’m sure the Eagles would eat some of it if the pick was good enough. Howie also has some bullets. Does he go up and get Tyler Warren from Penn State? He could also grab Mason Taylor or Colston Loveland. The good news is the Eagles are consistently one of the best tight end drafting teams in the NFL. From my childhood with Chad Lewis, L.J. Smith, and Brent Celek to Zach Ertz and now Dallas Goedert it has been a position the Eagles rarely miss on. Even Mike Bartrum was a tight end. They didn’t draft him, but I wanted any excuse to add in this video of the long-snapping legend:

Look at a young Johnny Airports! Does that guy age????
Bryce Huff on the other hand? There’s no fixing that guy. What an ironic number for that guy, too. Trade him for a bag of balls. He wasn’t even active for the Super Bowl. That’s a Super Bowl ring we’re going to see on eBay in a decade. I’ll drive him to the airport and carry his bag to security. Whatever you can get for him, get it.
