Roundup: What in the World is Going On?

There have been so many stories involving national sports personalities and Philly teams today. From one pundit claiming LeBron should’ve chosen the Sixers, to another saying the Eagles will miss the playoffs, Tony Luke, Jr. dropping a track, Donte DiVincenzo’s bank account looking like an everyman’s, and plenty more.
Let’s start with professional sports troll and co-host of FS1’s Undisputed Skip Bayless:
"Silver platter was sitting right there for LeBron in Philadelphia. He could've joined forces with the 2nd best player in the East, Joel Embiid." — @RealSkipBayless pic.twitter.com/dgVsiQeNoS

I hate to admit it, but I agree. Kyle and I have discussed this numerous times on Crossing Broadcast, and after the news broke that the King was taking his talents to SoCal, we like many others pointed out that it clearly wasn’t a basketball decision.
More from around the Twitterverse after the jump:
CBS Senior NFL writer Will Brinson is apparently gunning for this year’s Mike Lombardi Memorial Award with this gem that the Eagles will miss the playoffs.
The NFL’s defending champs not making the PLAYOFFS???@WillBrinson thinks there could be a chance. He breaks down the 2017 squads most likely to take a step back on CBS Sports HQ. https://t.co/fFEpW53Xlg pic.twitter.com/XDa2VWUdhM

I get the NFC East Champion comparison with the Cowboys, except for one thing: the Philadelphia Eagles won Super Bowl LII.
The NFLPA is filing a grievance against the NFL for implementing the new National Anthem policy without consulting the NFLPA, which they claim is inconsistent with the language in the most recent CBA:

Online sports betting could be coming to New Jersey as soon as this week. If you haven’t checked out Crossing Broad’s sports betting section, do so immediately. There’s an incredibly comprehensive guide to New Jersey sports gambling that is a must-read for anyone interested in such things. Kyle also broke down the announcement of UK gambling giant Bet365 making a play in US sports gambling and FanDuel CEO Matt King being named as CEO of FanDuel Group.
Speaking of money, Donte DiVincenzo’s bank account looks like mine in college:

I guess contrary to what Kyle says, not everyone gets instantaneously rich with a Nova degree. Oh wait. DiVincenzo didn’t graduate, because Villanova is becoming a player factory like every other major college basketball program [Editor’s note: Mikal Bridges and Jalen Brunson both graduated, and unlike every other major college program, Villanova graduates all of its four-year players and wins National Championships.]
Tony Luke, Jr. dropped a Bob Dylan cover:

100% of the proceeds go to fund the #brownandwhite initiative #recoveryispossible

At least all of the proceeds go to charity.
Cristiano Ronaldo, who just led Real Madrid to their third consecutive Champions League title, shocked the soccer world with a move to Italian Goliath Juventus:
