Saquon Barkley Gets the Madden Cover and a Geno’s Takeover, All in One Day

“Steakquon’s” popped up where Geno’s typically is with some EA Sports signage, which made me think that the Eagles running back was getting the cover of Madden 26:
Would you eat at Steakquon’s? 610-632…
Five minutes later the announcement was made:
I can’t tell you the last time I’ve played Madden, but I’m buying this as soon as it comes out, throwing the sliders all the way up, and running the Tush Push against the Packers the entire game.
Are we still doing the Madden Curse thing? Sure, last year didn’t go perfectly with Christian McCaffery and the 49ers, but Josh Allen had more than 40 total TDs when he was on it two years ago. While John Madden was on the cover in 2023, Tom Brady and Patrick Mahomes were on the cover the previous game and they both had banner seasons. Mahomes was also on the cover in 2020 and won a Super Bowl. I’m going to rule that the Madden Curse hasn’t been relevant since Antonio Brown was on three teams in one season after he found himself on the cover in 2019. This means that not only will Saquon have the greatest Madden cover of all time, he’ll now have another banner season. Nothing to worry about.
