The Birds have an OC:

Mannion is 33 years old and has never called an NFL play, at least from the sidelines. He was the Rams’ backup quarterback for a few seasons, bounced around after that, and then found his way into coaching as Packers offensive assistant and then QB coach under Matt LaFleur. If nothing else, the guy will have a modern take on offensive football with influence from the Kyle Shanahan and Sean McVay coaching tree. Packers fans seemed to be annoyed at losing him, and consider him one of those young, up-and-coming NFL talents.

It’s not a sexy hire. You know who else was not a sexy hire? Nick Sirianni. And Doug Pederson, too. Both of those guys won Super Bowls here, so it worked out. And the Eagles have been enjoying the best run in franchise history, so they get the benefit of the doubt with these hirings and firings until the wheels totally fall off, which they have not. All of these people ready to throw themselves off the Ben Franklin Bridge are so dramatic. Tweeting like they know anything about the guy. Fucking relax, man. The Birds have been to two of the last four Super Bowls and they’re gonna get healthy and figure this thing out. They’re gonna take four verticals out of the playbook and put it in the trash can. The offensive line is gonna get healthy. Stop being a pussy and throw your support behind the Birds.

Sean Mannion – he’s it baby!
