Shaun Bradley Lets Eliot Shorr-Parks Know the Eagles Already Have a QB1
By Kyle Pagan

Eliot Shorr-Parks tweeted earlier that the Eagles should keep an eye on Matt Ryan. The Falcons are in a sort of holding pattern with Ryan as Deshaun Watson sorts out whether he’d like to play in New Orleans or Atlanta, reportedly (edit – or not, he’s going to Cleveland). Shaun Bradley, though, thinks the Eagles already have their QB1:

I don’t think it makes much sense to trade for Matt Ryan. I’m sure the Falcons would take on a sizable portion of his deal if the Eagles traded for him, but I’d rather see if Jalen Hurts could make a leap in his second year.
Though, I don’t think Shaun Bradley is correct either. I am low on Jalen Hurts. Won’t root for him to fail because that is wild for a fan to do, but I just don’t see him taking the next step after what we saw this year. Can’t read progressions, accurate enough, or tall enough to make some throws over his linemen. But he still intrigues me with his ability to make plays with his legs. I think it’s worth checking all the boxes before we need to make a move for the future. Funnel that cap money somewhere else.
Just a reminder: Falcons and Matt Ryan agreed to push back the $7.5 million roster bonus due to the Atlanta QB today until Tuesday, giving Ryan four extra days to vet his trade options, per sources. pic.twitter.com/VzZBL9S4q5
