After an explosion injured 27 in New York this weekend and other unexploded devices were found across the metropolitan area, Soldier Field will to be on high alert for tonight’s Eagles/Bears game. According to ABC7, “Chicago Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson said there is no specific threat to Soldier Field or anywhere in Chicago,” but they’re taking extra precaution anyway. Their heightened security procedures at Soldier Field, for what it’s worth, sound a lot like the process of entering the Linc:

All fans entering the stadium will have carry-on items searched, including backpacks, purses and coolers. Soldier Field security recommends not bringing anything into the stadium to expedite the security process or taking just the essentials in a clear bag. All fans will pass through new upright metal detectors before entering the game.

The security at Soldier Field recommends only taking the essentials to expedite the process, so just your keys, wallet, cellphone, charger case for your cellphone, Apple watch, a whole lot of loose change, and whatever else you think you’ll really need.
