How big is First Take now? It’s a debate show where guys yell at each other and say stupid shit, but the brand has grown so big that you’ve got Screamin’ A riding in a helicopter with Jerry Jones. The same Screamin’ A that has been absolutely demolishing the Cowboys on his show for years now, mind you.
It’s hard not to be impressed with this. Stephen A’s brand is sky high right now. He basically gave Max Kellerman the boot, took over the show himself, brings on Mad Dog and any guest he wants, and currently sits on top of the world.
You gotta respect what Screamin’ A has carved out for himself here. We all had it wrong. We were trying to do real journalism and tell meaningful stories. Obviously the correct path was to yell and be very opinionated.
