The Cowboys introduced Brian Schottenheimer as their new head coach on Monday. It was a gong show, more or less, with Stephen Jones delivering this hilarious bit of comedy:

Obviously not a financial drought. They’re continuing to rake in the big bucks because delusional Cowboy fans are still showing up and still buying merchandise. They haven’t exactly been playing in front of empty seats.

But “in terms of a championship or a Super Bowl,” this drought makes the Aral Sea look like the Pacific Ocean. You’d find water in the Atacama Desert before the Cowboys play a January game. Dallas has not won the Super Bowl since 1996. They have not even been back to the NFC Championship Game. The last time they got past the divisional round, Bill Clinton was still in his first term. Dallas is 5-12 in the postseason since then. In fact, with the Commanders making the NFCCG this year, the Cowboys have the NFC’s longest title game drought.
