T.Y. McGill got the memo.
Sunday night, the backup defensive tackle committed a neutral zone infraction on 4th and short, with two minutes remaining in the game, which moved the sticks for Washington and kept the Eagles on the right path. The path to losing the game.
As a reward for being a good soldier and committing to the tank*, the Birds gave him a new one-year contract and also made the following moves:

*Obviously we’re just having fun here. I have no idea if McGill was told to jump offside. It would be silly to think he had a wink wink, nudge nudge kind of handshake deal with Howie Roseman. There’s no way that would happen…
