Week 3: Sporting the Cincinnati Bengals' White Bengal" uniforms, Logan Wilson (55) celebrates an interception during the 19-16 win against the Los Angeles Rams at Paycor Stadium.

The Cincinnati Bengals are doing a “white out” this Sunday:

What would an Eagles “white out” look like? Filling up the stadium with Boyertown residents? Heyo!

For what it’s worth, the white out was scheduled before the season, when this was originally a 4:25 p.m. start. That would have meant the second half would be played mostly at dusk/night, when the white uniforms and the white shirts in the crowd can pop against the darkness. Now we’re gonna get white on white on white in the middle of the day, which doesn’t seem as effective. No matter. The Eagles just have to go out there and play a smart football game to beat these bums for the first time since Bubba Miller was snapping the ball to Donovan McNabb.

The “wear this color” routine feels like a college thing, yeah? Penn State does the white out. West Virginia did the “coal rush” a few weeks, where fans in all-black watched the home team lose by two touchdowns. It seems like this is more of a sidebar thing, like the Bungles are doing their white uniform combo and asked the fans to participate from the seats. It’s less of a coordinated collegiate type of thing. Less of a cultish, Texas A&M type of feel. But you wonder if more NFL teams should try it. Should the Giants do a blue out? Should the Seahawks do a neon out? Should the Eagles do a midnight green out? Could you even get 65,000 Birds fans to wear the same thing? It feels off brand. It feels like something pro sports fans in Philly would scoff at, like it’s beneath them. Am I wrong?
