The Eagles are the NFL’s Whitest Team

Yesterday, in a post on Deadspin’s numbers blog Regressing, Barry Petchesky laid out one of the many charts and graphs made by the people at Best Tickets for their NFL census. There’s a whole lot to take in at that Best Tickets link, but the one we want to look at is the one Regressing did: We are the Whitest.
According to Best Tickets, the Philadelphia Eagles have 25 white players on their roster — good for 47% of the team — and are the only team with more than 20 (the Houston Texans have exactly 20 for the league’s second-most). It’s little more than a tidbit, but it’s an interesting one nonetheless, and shows that at the very least there may be a little more Kings of Leon than usual in the locker room, as long as Barwin’s cool with it.
