How’s this for a statistic? –

They’ve won their last three NFCCG’s by an average of 29 points, which is absolutely incredible as a standalone fact. What really makes it more special though is thinking back about 20 years ago, during the Donovan McNabb era, when they made five trips to the same game and only came out victorious once. For the Eagles to go from 1-4 in the NFC Championship Game, and totally cursed, to 3-0 in their last three really feels like some kind of cosmic justice for what we suffered at the hands of Marshall Faulk, Jake Delhomme, Joe Jurevicius, and Kurt Warner. All of those brutal, backbreaking losses feel like they took place a hundred years ago now. Replace all those memories with images of Patrick Robinson’s pick-6, Haason Reddick barreling into Brock Purdy, and Saquon Barkley’s house call on the very first touch.

What a team. They ran the ball all year long and played serious, stifling defense. This is what Eagles fans have always wanted. Pound the rock and play D. God damn. Now they’ve got one more game in front of them. New Orleans awaits. LET’S GO.
