The Eagles Will Interview Tom Coughlin

FOX Sports’ Mike Garafolo reports that the Eagles will interview Tom Coughlin. Tim McManus and others have confirmed the report. It appears the interview will take place on Monday. Coughlin technically still had a year left on his deal with the Giants, so the Eagles had to ask permission.
Analysis: Oh God I don’t know I’m ready for this. I don’t know if I love the idea of Tom Coughlin coaching the Eagles or hate it. But what’s becoming clear is that there is not one or two great candidates out there, at least in name. And before handing Chip his walking papers, maybe the Eagles should’ve considered that they might be forced to hire the old-timer whose brains he beat in over the past three years.
