Another offseason linebacker acquisition fails to work out:

Wilson was inactive on Sunday afternoon as Davion Taylor and T.J. Edwards saw increased roles.

The Eagles didn’t have a ton of cap room to work with this offseason, but Wilson will have to go down as another unsuccessful free agent linebacker addition. Add him to a group that includes LaRoy Reynolds, Zach Brown, Jatavis Brown, L.J. Fort, Paul Worrilow, and Corey Nelson. And as far as draft picks go, they’ve taken Taylor, Shaun Bradley, and Patrick Johnson dating back to 2017. Not a glowing Howie Roseman endorsement there.

Here’s how the LB snaps played out on Sunday:

  • 41 snaps: Edwards
  • 39 snaps: Taylor
  • 21 snaps: Alex Singleton
  • 16 snaps: Bradley/Genard Avery
  • 2 snaps: Johnson
