Alternative opinion: Marshall is 32 and his production fell off a cliff with the listless Jets last year. Even at bargain bin prices – which may have come as a hometown discount so the now-former Jet doesn’t even have to leave the stadium – he wouldn’t even come close to fitting into the Eagles’ medium-term plans. I’m truly baffled why people would want Marshall, or DeSean, or Britt, or Garcon– they’re all on the backside of their careers. 23-year-old Brandin Cooks? Now, that’s a different story.
Still, Marshall is a good fit with the Giants, whose receiving corps should now be Eli-proof, especially against the Eagles, whom last I checked… yep, they don’t have a capable cornerback. And why, yes, Virgina, that is Eric Rowe intercepting a pass intended for Marshall in the photo. Fml.
