The Inquirer’s “Eagles vs. the Empire” Artwork is Superb

Nailed it.
The Inquirer put together a 24-page Super Bowl special with a Star Wars-themed cover, and Jar Jar Binks is nowhere to be found.
The keepsake edition is apparently on newsstands right now, but I have yet to leave the house to look for one. They might have some copies at the crappy cash-only place around the corner that sells cigarettes and lottery tickets.
Nick Foles is front and center on the cover, with Bill Belichick playing the role of Emperor Palpatine. Tom Brady, I guess, is Darth Vader:
Nick is Luke Skywalker, yeah? And Doug Pederson is Obi-Wan Kenobi. Or is he Yoda? I guess both of those guys were mentors.
Carson Wentz is on there too, and he should be, even if he’s not playing. Why? Because he won the Birds’ first 11 games, that’s why. Also featured are LeGarrette Blount, Jay Ajayi, Trey Burton, Swoop, Chris Long (in a dog mask), and the entire offensive line, plus a couple of receivers.
It’s great work, for real. I would have added Rob Gronkowski as Jabba Hutt, but that’s just me.
You may recall the New York Post threw something similar together when the J-E-T-S, Jets Jets Jets played the Patriots in the playoffs a while back. This was in 2010, when Mark Sanchez went up to Gillette and threw three touchdown passes in a 28-21 win:
Not like anyone cares, but I thought “The Last Jedi” was just alright. It was 30 minutes too long and the scene with you-know-who flying around in space was bizarre.
