Great stat right here:

Spoiler: they did win, improving to 4-13 on the season while ensuring that Dallas finished with consecutive losing records for the first time since 2002.

If the Giants just finished the job, and lost properly, they would have had the #1 overall pick. Instead, they beat the Raiders and Cowboys and played themselves into the #5 position.

On one hand, they don’t need a quarterback, since Jaxson Dart appears to be their guy. But they could have traded out of the top spot for picks, slid down the board, and improved their overall haul. Injuries screwed with their season, Malik Nabers and Cam Skattebo going out, for instance, but this is a New York team that still needs as much help as possible, especially along the interior defensive line. Landing one of Keldric Faulk or Arvell Reese could be the play, or they go Carnell Tate at five and put him opposite Nabers. They could use more on the offensive line, too.

That being said, I do think the Giants improve in 2026. They improve their win total from 4 to 8 and once again fail to make the playoffs.
