The Only Thing Standing Between the Eagles and Win #9 is Super Bowl Champion Kenny Pickett
Oh baby:
Super Bowl champion Kenny Pickett entered Sunday’s game against Denver in the 4th quarter down 24-7 and went 8 for 11 for 97 yards and a touchdown. The Raiders then kicked a field goal at the very end for a backdoor cover that destroyed quite a few bets, as evidenced by the reaction on social.
But it was mostly garbage time chucking and there isn’t much to glean from the performance. The Raiders don’t have anything on offense outside of Brock Bowers and haven’t scored 20 or more points since November 2nd. If Vic Fangio’s unit plays the way it typically plays, the Birds’ pitiful offense only needs to must something like 17 points at home to win.
Is that such an insurmountable task? Don’t answer that question.
What’s even more funny is that that Marcus Mariota will probably play both Commanders games remaining on the schedule, or at least he should. Everybody in the Washington organization should be fired if they send Jayden Daniels out there for another snap this year. If the Eagles win three games against their former backups, they can go lose in Buffalo and win the division at 11-6.
No gimmes, of course, but the task at hand is an absurd one. All they have to do is beat Kenny Pickett and the 2-11 Raiders at home, then win both games against Mariota and the 3-10 Commanders.
What could possibly go wrong?
