The Pope Has Already Inspired One Super Bowl Prayer

One of the many things the city of Philadelphia is doing for Pope Francis’ visit is the knotted grotto. At the Basilica for Saints Peter and Paul, people can write what they need prayers for on “strips of cloth and add them to the 40,000 already tied” to a fence there. Here’s how it works:
“Each pilgrim wrote a personal plea, tied it to a fence, then untied someone else’s prayer, carried it inside the grotto, tied it to the wood frame and prayed for a complete stranger, bound together only by a mutual Catholic faith.”
The prayer range from brining soldiers back from war, helping the ill, and this:
Amongst the 40,000, I’m going to guess this isn’t the only Super Bowl wish.
