“They Ran the Same Play Seven F’n Times!” – Chris Jones Crashed Out Over the Tush Push

You ever see someone’s will be broken in two? Well you have now. Chris Jones sounded like a broken and defeated man on Sunday. Cause? The Tush Push:

I’ve spent an unhealthy amount of time defending the Tush Push over the last four days and every argument against it is dumber than the last one. I’ve seen things like it’s an illegal formation (it’s not), the Eagles only win because of the Tush Push (they don’t), and that it’s a rugby play (renowned rugby player Jordan Mailata disagrees). How do you watch that video above of Jones losing his mind and think the proper response is we have to ban the Tush Push? That’s just big boy football taking a man’s soul. Everyone complains about how soft the league has gotten. You can’t hit hard anymore. The QB is too protected. Blah. Blah. Blah. We have the last great mano a mano play. Your big uglies vs. our big uglies. Who’s the tougher sonofabitch! And 31 other fanbases’ response is to cry about it. That’s crazy. Every team has an equal opportunity to run it. Just like every team had the opportunity to run the Wildcat or the West Coast Offense when those took over the game. It’s just that one team has done it better than the others so now it’s a problem. Is that the example we want to set for future generations? Something is to hard to stop so the response is to get rid of it? Because your team can’t execute it? Because it hurts your feelings? What’re you, the President of the United States?

All anyone has to do is listen to Jon Gruden talk about the Tush Push to convince them it should stay in the game:

The opposition loves to strip it down and make it as granular as possible, but it’s not. It takes execution, skill, and strategy, the same as it does to run Spider 2 Y Banana.

P.S. One more for the road. Can’t get enough shitting on Adam Schefter. The Mouse should pull the plug on that guy next:

P.P.S. I guess we all misquoted Jalen Hurts. He didn’t say, “We won the fucking game. Shut your ass up.” He said “We won the fucking game. Chill out with that shit.”
