The Eagles’ passing offense found a groove (or backed into one) Sunday afternoon in Minnesota against one of the NFL’s better defenses. The Vikings came into the game sixth in the league in total yards allowed per game (289.8) and were second in EPA on passing plays (-0.31). The Eagles had 361 total yards and Jalen Hurts’ passing EPA was +0.79. But we don’t celebrate stats like fans of other teams. We celebrate wins.

Unfortunately for the Vikings, they could not celebrate stats nor a win on Sunday. So, to commemorate the Birds’ first win of October, let’s listen to how it sounded on the Minnesota Vikings Radio Network with Paul Allen and Pete Bercich, a very entertaining duo, depending on if you enjoy bias in your favorite team’s commentary.

1) “AJ Brown rather lazily in motion to the left … AJ Brown wide open, touchdown Philadelphia Eagles.”

    2) “Oh, come on”

    3) “And he throws it right to a member of the Philadelphia Eagles”

    4) “Loops one up deep to Addison in double coverage, and Carson has thrown it right to a member of the Philadelphia Eagles”

    5) “What an awesome play by the second-year corner from Iowa”

    6) lol

    7) “A 79-yard touchdown pass from Jalen Hurts to DeVonta Smith, and it was a beauty”

    8) OJOMO! SACK!

    9) “Defensively, you gotta come up with something here” …caught, AJ Brown. Effortless touchdown, Philadelphia Eagles”

    10) NO TD! “Are you kidding me?” “That’s garbage. That’s absolute garbage”

    11) “They’re fools if they throw it, aren’t they?… That’s the thing – are you that cold blooded to say ‘alright, we’re gonna throw this football’?”
