Turns Out the Idiot who Shouldered A.J. Brown is a Seahawks Player, not a Staffer

Philly guy Mike Garafolo on it:

Garafolo: “…that was Joey Hunt, a backup, actually a lineman on their practice squad, who got into it with A.J. Brown, so it’s a lot different when a player gets into it. We assumed, a lot of people assumed it was a staffer… which is not to say he’s absolved from wrongdoing, but if he was a non-player member of the organization, things may have gone differently.”

Follow up question –

Why is some practice squad dickhead standing on the sidelines anyway? This guy is not involved in the game. He can’t even enter the game. He has no legitimate reason to be down there. He’s a spectator. At least Dom DiSandro has a defined role. We’re really splitting hairs if we’re drawing distinctions between Joey Hunt and Big Dom, considering the fact that neither was an actual participant in the game when they contacted A.J. Brown and Dre Greenlaw, respectively.

I think the lesson we’ve learned is that there are too many people on the sidelines to begin with. 75+ players, coaches, medical staff, chain gang, Howard fucking Eskin, etc. They really should streamline this in the offseason. If you’re not involved in the game, you can’t be on the sidelines. Only security personnel, and even then Dom has to follow the rules and not overstep his boundaries.

Joey Hunt, on the other hand, can go pound sand.
