Tyreek Hill Reportedly Available – Oh My God, Should the Eagles Trade for Him? (Updated 2X)

Tyreek Hill reportedly on the block:
Another blockbuster coming? Despite an offer from the #Chiefs that would make superstar Tyreek Hill one of the highest-paid receivers, extension talks have stalled and Kansas City has now given Hill’s agent permission to seek a trade, sources tell me and @TomPelissero.

Oh my God! Should the Eagles trade for him? Every Philadelphia writer will be doing this story today. Including us.
Hill has a “problematic” record of off-field issues. There was a domestic assault case in college and the famous child abuse investigation from a few years back. A lot of Philly people rolled their eyes because they didn’t think Andy Reid gave a shit about any of that, and they’re probably right. The Eagles do have a good history of not bringing in guys with off-field issues, and run a relatively clean program (as far as we know), so stuff like this does hold weight out here.
On the field is another story. We’re talking six-straight Pro Bowls with 6,600 yards and 56 touchdowns before the age of 28. He’s got a huge cap hit and is a UFA after this year, so gotta figure out an extension, whoever trades for him. The Eagles need a possession receiver opposite DeVonta Smith and Quez Watkins, but who gives a shit if Hill is available because he can do it all. Can Jalen Hurts get him the ball? Imagine going from Pat Mahomes to Jalen Hurts. That’s a step backward, but Hill gives the Eagles a big step forward.
This is the easiest thing to parse, ever. If the Eagles weigh the off-field issues and determine that they are okay with what happened, then you push for a Hill trade. Dude is electric. A generational talent.
EDIT 1 –
Jets and Dolphins are in serious talks to trade for Chiefs’ WR Tyreek Hill, per league sources. Hill and Chiefs are mulling what to do but Hill’s time in KC looks like it could be coming to an end.
