Video: Hit on Ellis Hobbs

UPDATE: Hobbs has a disc injury, but x-rays were negative. When asked if he thought Hobbs had a concussion, Reid said "listen dude, they took him off on a board. I don't know." Solid deduction there by Andy.
According to Andrea Kramer, whose crack reporting first informed us that Ellis Hobbs had a neck injury (thanks), Hobbs is up and walking around- a great sign.
Video of the hit after the jump. It's just wrong that this wasn't a penalty, yet Kurt Coleman's hit on Austin Collie two weeks ago was, because Collie was "defenseless." The intention of the helmet to helmet rule is there, but it needs a lot of work. One could argue that the hit on Hobbs was more dangerous.
