A Derek Barnett update:

Yeah? Well if you want to crown him, then crown his ass. By the way, those 2.5 sacks came in two games against the 5-11 Titans, and while he had 2.5 stuffs against Cleveland and a couple of QB hits, the Houston defense gave up 36 points at home to Joe Flacco.

We’re not doing revisionist history with Derek Barnett. We’re not going on a Doc Rivers-inspired Derek Barnett victory tour. Good luck to the guy and no hard feelings, we will forever be grateful that you were in a position to recover Brandon Graham’s forced fumble. But it just didn’t really take off here. He had more penalties than sacks and compiled a Mount Rushmore of dirty hits and cheap shots. Howie Roseman shouldn’t have brought him back in the first place. We wish Derek Barnett well.
