Say what you will about Les Bowen – we have, and we will – but at least he’s just longing for the days when he could actually speak to players up close and personal. Like a mom hanging around for a kiss on the cheek at those same dorms come fall semester.
Eskin, on the other hand, finds a way to make the DNC being in the city about Howard Eskin. You know, a large political convention? The precursor to the election of the president of the United States? It’s kind of a hassle for everyone around here but Howard Eskin, his Lexus, and a buncha millionaires are slightly inconvenienced.
I really, really do want the image of Howard on an Indego bike riding down Broad Street though.
When he's not writing about sports here or ranting about them on Twitter, Jim is probably watching X-Files on Netflix or drinking a beer somewhere. Jim has nothing against hockey, it's just not his style. He once met Duce Staley at a Sixers game.
