Eagles

You Gotta be a Real Crumb Bum to Scalp Eagles Training Camp Tickets (All Proceeds Going to Charity) at a 5x Markup

Shout out to big Dave for bringing this to our attention:

Sure enough, there are seven listings on StubHub as of 3 p.m., Wednesday, and three listings at Vivid Seats. There is one listing at TickPick and Ticketmaster lists the event as “sold out.” Not a ton of sellers, but they’re out there.

On one hand, if you bought the tickets, they’re yours, and you can do with them what you will. On the other hand, these are $10 tickets with a charity component, and some are $40 with a VIP on-field experience. All of the proceeds for both ticket types go to the Eagles Autism Foundation. The only reason they cost anything at all is because of the philanthropy, so isn’t it a little gross to turn around and tell those tickets for profit? Some are marked up at a 5x or 6x rate. Outrageous!

Of course, there’s a supply and demand elephant in the room. The Eagles are the reigning Super Bowl champions. People want to see the Birds, who only have one public summer session. You look all over the NFL and you’ve got Pat McAfee broadcasting live with Steelers fans in Latrobe, and Giants fans filming Jaxson Dart interceptions at their camp, but the only thing Birds fans get now is a big, fat, nothing burger. You only get a Sunday in August, and even if the money is for a good cause, you still have to pay to get in. That was never the case at Lehigh or West Chester.

Brief rant over. Now, a message for the charity ticket scalpers:

You’re a crumb creep. I wanna fight ya, but you don’t have the courage. You’re a real crumb bum. Put that on camera. You’re a creep. Get away from me:
