Let’s get the latest on Jerry Jones via WFAA news in Dallas:

TEXARKANA, Texas — The breach of contract trial against a woman claiming to be Jerry Jones’ daughter is scheduled to start next Monday, and the Cowboys owner is expected to testify on the witness stand.

Court records list Jones as one of the witnesses called to testify, and the order shows Jones will be asked about the alleged contract breach itself by the defense for the woman being sued, Alexandra Davis.

Jones filed a countersuit against Davis after her defamation lawsuit brought against him was dismissed in March, alleging that he was her father. Jones, who continues to deny being Davis’ father, claims her publicly discussing the possibility of his paternity as a violation of a contract signed by Davis’ mother in 1998.

Davis herself and her mother, Cynthia Davis-Spencer, are also listed as witnesses. Jerry Jones is not the only member of his family who may testify. His wife, Eugenia Jones, his son, Stephen Jones, his daughter, Charlotte Jones, and his ex-son-in-law, Shy Anderson, all may be called to testify, court records show.

The suit claims that Davis received 230 separate payments from Jones throughout her childhood, the combined total of which amounted to about $1.9 million. Separate from that, the suit also claims that Jones bought Davis a Range Rover worth more than $70,000, paid for a “Sweet 16” birthday party worth more than $33,000 and also paid for Davis’ entire college tuition and multiple vacations.

The Cowboys report to training camp next Wednesday. Jerry should be there, he just needs to finish suing his alleged daughter. Heyo! Gotta get the family affairs in order. Jeffrey Lurie, meantime – when’s the last time he was in the headlines? No salacious Lurie headlines in quite a long time. He’s too busy using emotional intelligence to run a respectable franchise. Reason #400 why the Eagles are a better organ-eye-zation than the Cowboys. Go Birds!
