Sucks:

What is it with Eagles special teamers going down this preseason? First Patrick Johnson, who thankfully is okay, then Shaun Bradley, who is lost for the season, and now Zech McPhearson, who is also done for the season.

No Eagle contributed more to ST than McPhearson in 2022. He played 362 snaps, amounting to 79.9%. He also got 99 defensive snaps as a depth DB. Combine McPhearson and Bradley and that’s 676 special teams snaps from last season that you’re not getting this season.

McPhearson would have remained a depth piece behind Darius Slay and James Bradberry this year, but his loss affects the group of Josh Jobe, Greedy Williams, Eli Ricks, Mekhi Garner, and Kelee Ringo, who are in the mix for backup CB roles.
