Briere Says Pronger Will Not Play on Thursday

Danny Briere hopped on WGR550 in Buffalo this morning and said that he doesn't expect Chris Pronger to play on Thursday.
Is Pronger playing?
No.
Obviously he's a big part of our team. I can't wait for him to come back in the lineup and I don't know when he's going to come back in the lineup, whether it's going to be this series or the next one, if we move on. But we can't use that as an excuse
When do you expect him to be back in the lineup, if you project him out at all against Buffalo?
Yeah, that's very possible. I just don't know, nobody knows when he's going to be ready. I don't expect him to start in the first game, to be there for the first game, but after that I don't know.
Of course, Briere did know that he was on local radio, and it's not too far-fetched to think that he was messing with those guys a bit. But when he was asked about "gamesmanship," he denied it and said he wants to be wrong.
