Can’t believe Philly sports fans put on Canadiens jerseys and went up to Quebec to smash up a police car:

In case you missed it and are living under a rock, the Habs beat Vegas 4-2 and secured their first trip to the Stanley Cup Finals since 1993. They beat the Kings that season to lift the trophy.

Of course, hockey is king up there, and fans have been pretty much been stuck inside watching the playoffs on television, because Canada is months behind the U.S. in easing COVID-19 restrictions. Even now, the Habs say they are only allowing 3,500 into the Bell Center for the Finals, which is bananas. The Canadiens are in the Stanley Cup Finals for the first time in more than 25 years and they are going to be less than 20% capacity in the building. That’s insanity. That’s like telling Alabama football fans that Bryant-Denny is under restrictions. It’s like putting limitations on Pakistani cricket fans.

Maybe that’s why supporters smashed up the police car. Unrest. Unruliness. Only in Philadelphia!
