From Hurricanes morning skate:

Ruff tweeted this a short time later:

Rod Brind’Amour has confirmed that a few top guys will not play tonight against the Flyers. “(We’re) giving them the chance to heal up a little more and obviously get a little mental break as well.”

Andrei Svechnikov, Sebastian Aho, Ghost, Jaccob Slavin, and Seth Jarvis all looking like they’re gonna sit on Monday night. Carolina has Nic Deslauriers in there as a third line winger as they handle a road/road back-to-back to finish the season.

Still a bunch of good players to contend with, though. Nikolaj Ehlers has 68 points this year. The top line of Jackson Blake, Logan Stankoven, and Taylor Hall is all regulars. K’Andre Miller and Sean Walker are gonna be out there with Chatfield (presumably) and Alexander Nikishin.

Not a cakewalk by any means, but the Flyers have a lot to play for and there should be a lot of JAM in the building. They haven’t beaten the Canes in their last eight tries, but they did go to OT three times this season, so maybe the levee finally breaks. They can end the losing streak to Carolina and end the five-year playoff drought at the same time.

“I’m raising the stakes right now. This is a poker game, I’m shoving my chips to the middle of the table. I’m raising the ante. Anybody wants in, get in. Anybody wants out, get out. Okay? This team is going to the playoffs.”
