I'm told the @NHLFlyers are really working hard to move JVR's contract today. Told they are talking to a few teams. Seattle was one of them previously, not sure if they are still involved or not. One team to watch though is Buffalo – they may be the best match.

JVR is set to make $7 million this year before becoming an unrestricted free agent at the age of 34. It’s the final year of that 5 year/$35 million deal he signed ahead of the 2018-2019 season. He led the Flyers with 24 goals last year but is currently the third-highest paid player on the team, right behind Coots and Kevin Hayes, so if you’re gonna clear out money to approach Johnny Gaudreau in free agency, this is how you have to do it. They moved Oskar Lindblom’s ~$3 million earlier today, so they’re trying to carve out a bit more cap here to make a splash.
