Gritty is everywhere these days.
He appeared on a Queer Eye for the Straight Guy segment earlier this week, and then Crossing Broad reader Michael MPH alerted us to this video clip from Robot Chicken, which spoofs the Nancy Kerrigan/Tonya Harding incident of 1994, only this time the Edmonton Oilers’ mascot is the victim:

Isn’t it crazy how popular Gritty became? We all laughed at how ridiculous he looked when he was introduced a few years ago, now he’s arguably a top-five mascot in THE ENTIRE WORLD. Joke’s on us.
