Ray Emery will start against the Lightning tonight in Florida, likely because Steve Mason has started the last two games and will start 44 and a half hours later against the Penguins in Pittsburgh. But no, that’s not a fun enough story. So here’s Inquirer beat writer Sam Carchidi creating a storyline seemingly out of thin air:
Mason’s confidence is at an all-time low after two consecutive 5-2 wins against Buffalo and Florida. He’s in a fragile mental state right now.
I’d assume that Tweet was sarcastic if it came from virtually any other writer. But nope. Just Carchidi, who made sure to have Craig Berube confirm the obvious:
