If New Flyers Dog “Stanley” Can’t Lift the Cup Curse, Then Tank the Entire Organization

I hate to put too much pressure on this good boy at such a young age, but if Stanley can’t help the Flyers lift the Cup curse then there is no helping this team. Look into this good boy’s eyes and tell me you don’t see Matvei Michkov hoisting one in the future:
Stanley is an 11-week-old Labrador retriever and Flyers fans voted on his name over the other options of Moose, Chief, and Bruiser. Stanley was a no brainer. Flyers fans have been starving for a cup. The Rick Tocchet hire has been scrutinized or celebrated by every side of the fanbase. Some feel like it’s a retread hire and some fans think we’re going to get back to that Flyers Broad Street Bully identity. Whatever happens, Stanley will be there along the way, and it’ll be for a good cause. In two years Stanley will be palling alongside a veteran or first responder hopefully on Broad Street at the Flyers Stanley Cup Parade.
Shout out to Team Foster, which funds highly-trained service dogs for injured and disabled veterans at no cost and provides lifetime support to its veteran/service dog teams. That organization rules! We’ll be filming AND participating in their 24-Hour Ruff Ride on Saturday, May 31st. There’s still time to register. We’ve got a bunch of content guys from around the city like Matt Groark and Philly Sports Guy on the team:
