Flyers news:

It’s a bummer. The Flyers won’t have him back until possibly the Eastern Conference Finals vs. the Panthers or the Stanley Cup Finals vs. the Avalanche. Depends how long it takes him to get his fitness back.

Foerster was having a great season and on pace to crest 50 points for the first time in his career. He was the Flyers’ leading scorer at the time of the injury, which was suffered when he tried to take a one-timer on December 1st against the Yinzers.

We can’t let this ruin the vibes, though. The Flyers won 4-1 in Montreal on Tuesday night. Danny Vladar was great in net again. Carl Grundstrom was moved up to the second line and got another goal. Even Fatvei Michkov stole a puck behind the net and assisted Bobby Brink on the third goal. Rasmus Ristolainen was back on the ice and clobbering Canadiens left and right with clean and legal hits.

The Flyers have 40 points while allowing the fewest goals in the Metro. We remain Flyered up.
