Joel Farabee, aka Young Beezer, Undergoes Successful Surgery

Let’s get it back to the Flyers:
INJURY UPDATE: Flyers forward Joel Farabee underwent successful disc replacement surgery in his cervical region this morning (Fri., June 24). The surgery was performed by Dr. Jon Yoon, a neurosurgeon at Penn Medicine.

Did we even know Farabee was injured? He played 19 minutes in the season finale. He missed some time in December and January due to other injuries, and went on IR back on January 21st, but I can’t recall hearing about his neck, especially disc replacement. Same thing Jack Eichel and the Sabres fought over.
Need the Young Beezer to get back to full health here. If he’s not ready for camp and the opener, no worries. He’s young. We just need him back to 100% and can’t pull a Ryan Ellis here. Be extra careful with one of the good young players on the squad.
Farabee’s 2021-2022 stats: 63 games, 17 goals, 17 assists, 34 points, 17:34 ATOI, 119 shots on goal, 38 blocks, 73 hits, 25 takeaways, 22 giveaways
Maybe it's just me, but Joel Farabee's 2021 head shot is giving me young Layne Staley vibes: pic.twitter.com/PA386ovoOY
