Former Philly mob boss Joey Merlino is doing a podcast these days. Crazy stories and a lot of F bombs.
Not sure how many of our younger readers remember this, but there was a situation back in the mid-90s where Eric Lindros was believed to be giving Flyers tickets to Merlino, which ultimately everybody denied. It was this huge story in the Inquirer and on sports talk radio as well, this alleged connection between the two.
On the latest episode of his podcast, Merlino explained the entire thing in detail, with references to Howard Eskin, Mike Missanelli, and Steve Fredericks:
One of these days I’m gonna have intern Grace listen to a full episode and write down how many times Joey says “motherfucker.”
