If they can’t get him to re-route to PHL Michkov will be under contract in the KHL until 2025-26. Teams were scared off by his contract situation and all of the Russian geopolitics. Teams were also scared off for the same reasons during Tarasenko, Kuznetsov, and Vasilevsky’s drafts and they all have rings in the NHL. Flyers are in a great position because they have time to kill during the rebuild. By the time they’re ready to compete Michkov will be on the same line as Cutter Gauthier. They also stole him from the Caps too which doesn’t get more sweeter!
