For some reason, the Flyers game against the Carolina Hurricanes scheduled for this evening – during the middle of BOMBOGENESIS, mind you – has yet to be postponed. The Flyers would reportedly like to cancel it (NO BEER REVENUE, OHMAHGOD!), but the Carolina Hurricanes, who are already here and who have had one game postponed this season, want to play. It may now be a league decision. The proposed reschedule date is March 10.

Meanwhile, you have Hurricanes PR guy Mike Sundeneneneheieieieheim, who doesn’t really care about your safety or concession revenue. He just doesn’t want to make another trip to Philadelphia:

Voila_Capture1028Missing the whole snow thing, Mike. Missing the whole snow thing.

UPDATE: It’s canceled. From the release:

Tonight’s game between the Philadelphia Flyers and Carolina Hurricanes at Wells Fargo Center, NHL Game No. 749, has been postponed due to the snow emergency declared in the city of Philadelphia.

A makeup date will be announced as soon as it can be confirmed.

Good decision.
