Who knew?  There will be life after baseball this winter.

For as much attention as the Phillies and Eagles get around here, it might be the Flyers who are the best team in the city.

That's not an overstatement.  Even though the season is young, the Flyers are only one point behind the Washington Capitals for the best record in the NHL and they are 9-0-1 over their last 10 games. That's right, they haven't lost outright in 10 games.  That is impressive.

They have by far the league's best goal differential (+24), perhaps its best defense, a young talented offense, and a star goalie in the making.  And if you don't think Peter Laviolette having almost a full year to implement his system is a major factor, well then, your're crazy.

Full highlights after the jump, full game recap at Philly Sports Daily.  Also, this girl was hit in the head with a puck.  Get well soon.
