Another day waking up to defend the turf:

Sherlock SanFilippo has made the Barstool car wash. The tearing down of his Kevin Hayes report started with Spittin’ Chiclets and it’s now moved on to Pardon My Take. If Portnoy talks about it on a show, I think that means we’ve hit the Barstool Holy Trinity.

Here’s the clip on PMT where they did the unthinkable: sided with Kevin Hayes and called Ant’s report a lie –

Obviously this clip is facetious for the most part, and they’re protecting the golden goose – their relationship with a player. But there are some fans of the pod who will just side with PMT and Chiclets because they’re fans of the show and not fans of the Flyers. So lets remind ourselves about what Ant’s report said on Monday:

Multiple sources have told me that Hayes was very influential with Gauthier and three of them indicated that Hayes either had direct impact on Gauthier’s decision to not want to play for the Flyers or that it was very possible that he did.

Ant and the Snow the Goalie guys are a podcast partnered with the Flyers, but not owned by the team. Ant was plugged in long before the partnership and he’ll be plugged in long after the partnership is over. So having three people in the organization tell him about Kevin Hayes having his liver-spotted hands all over the situation isn’t some groundbreaking realization. You can’t just flat out say this whole thing was made up and a lie. I believe everything Ant reports about the Flyers because his track record is excellent.

Now that we got that cleared up, I’ll leave you with this –

I’m pretty impressed/proud to see how we held up on our own with Barstool and the Chiclets crowd. Not many people can say they’ve come out unscathed from a he said/he said battle against massive platforms like those. I appreciate everyone mucking it up and having Ant and the boys’ backs in the comments (Russ has read every single one). It’s a cool testament to everyone who reads the site and listens to Snow The Goalie.

Now enough cradling each other’s balls. My watch isn’t over. Send me the next jabroni who wants to question Sherlock SanFilippo:
